TOW KWA POP
RE-BRAND
CLIENT | TOW KWAR POK, TIONG BAHRU
MY ROLE | ART DIRECTION, FOOD STYLIST, GRAPHIC DESIGNER (BRANDING)
Working in pairs, Martin, and I rebranded a long-established local food store in Tiong Bahru Marketplace for a school branding project, We chose to work with Mr Lee and his Tow Kwar Rojak Store as we wanted to make it our personal mission to uplift and bring his brand closer to more food seekers who treasure traditional taste with a touch of speciality.
Birth of the Logo
We tapped into round-edged designs to amplify the brand attribute of modernity while keeping the image of "pop" in mind. We then decided to further develop and input the brand attribute of “traditional” to the final logo.

Brand Packagings︎︎︎
Soggy and wet tow kwar pops were one of the few major problems that customers complained when taking tow kwa pops to go. So we designed a new and improved takeaway experience that is only unique to the brand.
Steps:
1. food can be easily seperated and placed into individual areas to prevent sogginess and spillage.
2. When ready to eat, remove white inner grid, pour sauces, close and give it a good shake!
To amplify the fun attributes of the brand, we also designed a chopstick packaging with the to-go packaging, to leave customers with a memorable "pop" sound when twisted and opened.
